Calibration Service

Calibration of Phototherapy Equipment: Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Medical Physics UV calibration service

The Non-ionising Radiation Section (Medical Physics Department at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation Trust) work closely with the Phototherapy Support Network to provide accurate and reliable UV meter calibrations and measurements needed to provide the highest quality phototherapy services.

These medical physics services are already extended to many centres in the form of regular (twice yearly) visits to check the output of cabins and annual meter calibration checks.

The physics group have built-up considerable expertise in these areas and in the safety issues around provision of phototherapy services, and are always happy to provide advice and measurements to other centres through the Phototherapy Support Network.
